RACK STEERING SYSTEMS feature helm unit that incorporates machine cut pinion gear which engages preassembled rack and cable. Drives an armorstranded core for minimizing steering effort. Twin cable systems recommended for boats exceeding 50 mph or experiencing steering instability from engine flutter. Features standard 3/4' tapered shaft, 4 turns for standard travel, optional wedge kits for mounting flexibility and stainless steel cable output ends that minimize corrosion. Exceeds BIA certification and ABYC safety standards. For applications of boats up to 24', steering wheels up to 16', single and dual engines, outboard runabouts, bass boats, jet boats, pontoons, small cruisers and houseboats. NFB RACK DUAL CABLE STEERING SYSTEMS provide the comfort and precision of the NFB Rack for boats which exceed 50 MPH or experience instability. NFB pro rack fits standard Teleflex rack & pinion cutout, so no dash modifications are required when upgrading. Includes helm SH5230P, bezel SB39544P, and dual cable SSC135XX.
